“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

Overview

Charlie Crichton is an experienced personal injury attorney who is a tireless and zealous advocate for his clients. He is licensed in both Colorado and Arizona. He started working at Kidneigh & Kaufman, P.C. in 2011 and became a partner in 2015. Since joining the firm, Charlie has obtained numerous successful settlements on behalf of his clients, and has significant courtroom experience in both state and federal court, including trials and appeals.

Charlie began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Adams County where he gained invaluable courtroom and jury trial experience. During his tenure, Charlie had the opportunity to try over fifty jury trials ranging from cases as minor as Driving Under the Influence (DUI) to cases as serious as First Degree Murder. While working there, Charlie quickly developed a reputation as someone who was willing to try difficult and complex cases that other attorneys were not willing or able to do, such as mortgage fraud, financial crimes, and domestic violence. While Charlie loved being in front of a jury, his favorite part of the job was working with and on behalf of crime victims.

Joining Kidneigh & Kaufman, P.C.

After almost five years in Adams County, Charlie decided to join his wife, Jenny, and father-in-law, Steve, at Kidneigh & Kaufman, P.C. where he could continue working with and on behalf of victims and injured people. Since starting at Kidneigh & Kaufman, P.C., Charlie has had the privilege of representing clients on a wide variety of cases, including premises liability, slip and falls, car accidents, trucking accidents, uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims, bad faith, products liability, and medical malpractice, to name just a few. Charlie loves working on these types of interesting cases and being able to work with his wife and father-in-law every day. However, his favorite part of the job is being able to represent victims and assist those people who were hurt by someone else’s negligence. When Charlie first meets with his clients, they are often at their lowest point: they are hurt, they have bills that need to be paid, and they don’t know what to do. Being able to help victims through this difficult time, guide them through the process and improve their lives is incredibly rewarding for Charlie and why he enjoys his job so much.

Outside of the Office

Charlie also enjoys giving back to the Denver community. He is a founding member of the American Transplant Foundation Transplant Leadership Council, which is devoted to saving lives by reducing the growing list of women, men, and children who are waiting for a transplant. Charlie is also a founding member of the Blue Sky Fund, a group of rising civic and business leaders whose mission is to improve access to college by funding SAT and ACT tutoring programs for qualified students.

When not at the office or helping in the community, Charlie loves spending time with his wife and three young children. If he has any free time, you can find Charlie outside on the golf course, on the running trails and bike paths, or on his snowboard in the mountains enjoying all the great scenery that Colorado has to offer.
